A recent visit to the Likya Winery included a tour and ended with a delightful wine tasting experience. Wine tasting Tours combined with lunch at an authentic Turkish Organic Farm are available for 6 or more persons. Contact the Kaş Adventure Travel and Diving office for dates and times.

A small group visited the award winning, Likya Winery located just 6 kilometers outside of Elmalı, which is approximately 90 kilometers from Kaş. The winery staff were extremely hospitable and friendly and without asking laid out a wine tasting table with a variety of delicious cheeses. The book is about the excavation, which began in 1969, of Kizilbel, an archaic tomb neaby the winery. The book is full of photos cataloging its architecture, the inventory of the tomb chamber, paintings and murals, skeletal fragments, restoration and conservation.

The group later visited the Tanal Family Farm for a superb organic lunch.

Oil Wrestling or yağlı güreş
where the wrestlers douse themselves with olive oil.
Elmali hosts Kırkpınar, a wrestling tournament every year. The event takes place in the large stadium which is signposted on arrival in the town. Wrestlers come from all over Turkey in the hope of winning the title, in a form of competitive sport made popular back in Ottoman times. The contest lasts for three days and over 100 wrestlers participate.
