My Visit to the Peri..... Today is 12 weeks since we lost Amelia & Alexander
Visit: So I went to see a Peri at Loyola University. He is an Assistant Chair of the Maternal Department. We discussed TAC and regular cerclages. He was VERY AGAINST them. He said he had done many up to 5 years ago and now he uses other methods because the cerclages had to many other things that could go wrong like infection, etc. He said he feels that P17 shots and weekly ultrasounds to watch the cervix. He went on to talk about also not having NO STRESS and NO babydancing (lol) for the whole next pregnancy. I still want to see Dr. Haney at U of Chicago. I just am not sure if my OB/GYN will give me a referral for another dr. out of my group. I am worried about trying to do a TAC because the peri scared me and said it could literally explode and I lose my uterus. So here I am feeling like I am on square one again.
12 Weeks: It has been 12 weeks since I lost the babies and I am finally feeling better. I should be as huge as a house and laying around and feeling the babies doing somersaults and here I am NOT pregnant and wondering if I ever will get the chance again. Better to have loved and loss, then never to have loved at all...is my motto that takes me through each day.
