The importance of not using white-tac
When you stick something to your wall you may have a choice of what sticking medium you use. Sometimes it may be tape, sometimes perhaps a sticknote that self sticks, or maybe blu-tac. The important thing to remember here is to never, ever ever, ever, ever ever ever use white-tac.
I set up an experiment where I got as close enough as I could the same amount of blu-tac and white-tac and put one of them on 1 A4 piece of paper and the other on another A4 piece of paper. the results were that after a week the blu-tac'd piece was still firm settled on the wall, with absolutely no problems, in fact an A4 piece of paper is stuck on my wall from one and a half years ago and I used less blu-tac on that. THE OTHER HOWEVER, had already began to slide down the wall, not due to the lack of sticking capabilities but for the fact that it wasn't physically strong enough to hold a piece of paper up and had began to slide down the wall. I left it up and sure enough it just fell down a few minutes ago and I'm in the process of taking down all of the white tac'd things to my wall and putting blu-tac behind.
